The Taekwondo Alliance of Alberta in cooperation with Achilles Shield Protection, is offering the first of a series of children's books for sale.

This first book in the The Journals of Master Wu series is titled Dragon calms the Fire. This is a martial arts based adventure story.

The first book introduces the world of the Kwae Zhen and those exceptional characters inhabiting this secret world behind our world. The main themes of this book focus on self-control and self discipline, with sub-themes touching on trust, respect and responsibility. Readers are exposed to the consequences of acting in anger and shown the rewards of self-discipline. The book incorporates strong male and female characters who act as positive role models to the protagonists and thereby to the reader. The lessons introduced in this first book reflect and support the positive moral characteristics that parents aim to instill in their children and martial arts instructors reinforce in their students.

These books are designed for the 8 to 12 age group, but are enjoyable for older children as well. These are a club promotion and a fundraising vehicle, with a portion of sales going to the Alliance, a National Childrens Charity and the charity of your choice.
